About HazardFacts

HazardFacts turns official US natural hazard data into plain pages for each county: how FEMA rates the risk of floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires, heat and other hazards, what flood insurance and claims records show, and which federal disasters were declared there.

HazardFacts is published by Humblebee. We do not sell insurance, real estate or emergency products, we take no payment from insurers, agents or local governments, and nobody pays us to change what a page says. We are not affiliated with FEMA, NOAA, USGS or any government agency.

We report risk the way the agencies publish it, with the data year and method. We do not rate any place as safe or unsafe and we do not rank places beyond what an agency publishes.

Found a mistake? Every page lists its sources, so you can check them yourself. We fix errors as soon as we confirm them.
